Terms and Conditions

1. Roadstar Rent A Car LLC (hereafter referred to as the first party) and renter of the vehicle (hereafter referred to as the second party) will sign a mutually agreed agreement after both parties have satisfactorily inspected the condition of the vehicle. This contract is valid from the time of signing by both parties and cannot be terminated by any party without prior agreement with both parties.

2. The second party must provide the following documents to rent a vehicle:
For UAE Residents
– Valid Emirates ID
– Valid UAE Driving License issued more than six months earlier from rental date
– Valid Credit Card in the name of renter with minimum 3 months validity for security deposit
For Tourists
– Valid Passport
– Valid visit or tourist visa documents
– Valid International Driving License approved by relevant licensing authority and valid resident country driving license approved by UAE traffic department for driving in the UAE.

3. The second party must comply strictly with the UAE traffic regulations and shall be responsible for any violations incurred during the contract duration.

4. The second party should be the sole driver of the vehicle during the duration of the contract. If another driver is expected to drive the vehicle, then the additional driver license needs to be furnished at the time of signing the agreement. Otherwise, it is illegal for another driver to drive the vehicle during the duration of the contract.

5. A pre-authorization will be taken on the provided credit card or the second party is required to pay a nominal deposit of Dhs. 2000/- upfront to cover for any accident, traffic violation, toll gate charges, car damage or cleaning charges that may have occurred during the rental period. The pre-authorization or deposit will be released back to the second party, in the original payment method, after confirming that the second party was not involved in any accident or has not incurred any traffic fines.

6. The second party has no right to mortgage, sell, rent, or use the car for any other illegal commercial use than what was stated at the time of signing the agreement.

7. The second party should not take the vehicle out of the UAE borders without prior agreement.

8. The second party should not remove or replace any parts of the car under any circumstance. It is the responsibility of the first party to replace any defective part unless mutually agreed between both parties in an unavoidable situation.

9. The second party must inform the first party of any accident, theft or break down without any delay. The second party will be held liable if such incidents are not reported immediately.

10. The second party must return the rented vehicle to the first party promptly at the end of the rented period as stated in the contract. In case of any delay in returning the vehicle, the first party is entitled to bill half-day charges from the second party as late charges.

11. The second party is required to return the vehicle in the same condition as when the vehicle was rented out. The first party has the right to charge the second party for the repair or cleaning cost resulting from any internal or external damage to the vehicle.

12. The first party reserves the right to terminate the contract if the second party is in violation of any part of the terms and conditions. The first party also reserves the right to charge the second party any expenses because of such termination or repossession.

13. The second party will be held fully responsible in case of any accident while under the influence of any 3rd party substance.

14. In case of an accident, the second party is required by law to stay at the accident spot until the traffic police reaches the spot and prepares the accident report otherwise the second party will be held fully responsible for all charges related to the accident.
